“Tradition” incense is a classic incense blend that evokes the fragrance of temples and churches through the ages. The mixture of the finest Frankincense, Myrrh, Benzoin and Pine resins combined with Cedarwood puts most people in a relaxed and meditative state, while cinnamon and cloves are helpful for opening the intuition or third eye. Hundreds of years ago, a large quantity of this traditional incense blend would have been wafted over congregations in clouds of fragrant smoke, creating a communal altered state. As well, the blends natural antimicrobial properties would have cleansed the space and brought protection from illness and negative energies.

Inspiration:
I wanted to create a traditional temple/church incense for the simple reasons that this traditional combination of high-quality ingredients smells fantastic and the effects are real. If I am feeling harried from the stresses of the contemporary world, or just want to take some time to meditate, “Tradition” incense never fails to relax and calm my monkey mind.
Also, I have a number of clients who have search for this scent-scape as it reminds them of a beloved grandparent or mentor from their childhood. It is sad, that there are some people, who associate the aroma of Tradition with abuse from Church officials. Olfactory memories are extremely powerful. I am glad that I can smell “Tradition” and feel the love.
